The Sunday Times Insight team was famous in the 1970’s for its scoops and reconstructions and deep penetration reporting. I was seconded to them for the Nairobi leg of this extraordinary account of the Israeli raid on Entebbe airport in Uganda to rescue Jewish hostages held by General Idi Amin – 2,200 miles from Tel Aviv. After the piece appeared I was arrested and booted out of Kenya.
